CIC Reports First Quarter 2012 Results
Redwood Shores, CA, May 15, 2012 – Communication Intelligence Corporation (“CIC” or the “Company”) (OTCQB: CICI), a leading supplier of electronic signature solutions and the recognized leader in biometric signature verification, today reported total revenue of $667,000 for the three months ended March 31, 2012, an increase of $390,000 or 141%, compared to total revenue of $277,000 for the same quarter in the prior year.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2012, operating expenses were $1,439,000, a decrease of $92,000, or 6%, compared to operating expenses of $1,531,000 in the prior year. This decrease was primarily due to a decrease in professional expenses.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2012, the net loss attributable to common stockholders was $1,569,000, a decrease of $3,540,000, or 69%, compared to a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $5,109,000 in the prior year. This decrease was primarily due to the Company recognizing a $3,501,000 non-cash beneficial conversion feature for the quarter ended March 31, 2011, in connection with the amendment of its certificates of designation for its Series B and Series C Preferred Stock.
